One Upon A Time...

There was a little girl...

I grew up on a farm until I was nine. Though I am a city girl now I haven't lost my love of animals, insects and the outdoors. I live in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota, USA with my twelve-year-old, comedian son. He's the greatest kid in the world, coping with diabetes and celiac disease (wheat and gluten allergy) at the same time. He's in sixth grade now, last year he scored in the 92% in the statewide testing in math. He wants to become a math teacher OR a stand-up comic. Yes, I am a proud mom.

Can you scream "I LOVE MY JOB!!!" at the top of your lungs in public? I can! All my jobs have revolved around children. From a nanny to a daycare teacher to a Teaching Assistant in the Public Schools system. During the school year from September to June I keep an elementary school library running smoothly and also teach reading and nature in an after school program. Over the summer I teach Nature Exploration through the neighborhood recreation center. (Job with the city! Woo Hoo!)

I am a regular Fool Moon chatter. I have been at Fool Moon since December, 2000 and have made tons of new friends. I like to chat in the Town Meeting room where the people are real and not playing mind games and romantic games. I host a quiz called "Lesson of the Week" every Wednesday night at 9pm EST. It's great fun!

My FoolMoon Bio

Below are some of my favorites things in life. My dream is to find someone to share my life with a man who loves Yoda (or can at least do Yoda's voice), auto racing and breath mints! (Notice I said dream!) I also need a man with a good life and a few bad days, not a bad life and a few good days. I am beginning to think that's another dream!
